Lip Sync Battle

You've probably seen the epic lip sync battles on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Or maybe you've watched LL Cool J host the show on Spike TV. Now you can show off your own lip sync skills and find out who is the top performer in Canton as we host a CYS Lip Sync Battle here at the library. Thursday July 30 at 7:00 PM. Registration is required. Participants are required to email song selection to welzn@cantonpl.org by July 24.

We've had a rash of Library Shenanigans, and the culprits are still on the loose!  Can you help us find them?

Around the World with Books Quiz

How well do you know your books? We've got a special quiz to take you around the world with literature! (We have one for kids, and a more challenging one for adults.)

Stop by the CYS Command Center and get an Around the World Book Quiz. Match the setting of each book to the letter on the map, and turn in your quiz for the chance to win a prize. Don't forget to claim your Around the World badge online as well!

Game On Daily Trivia

Do you like trivia? We do!

Every day during CYS we will post a new trivia question on the bulletin board. Submit your answer for the chance to win a prize, and don't forget to claim your Game On badge online!

Constellation Connect-the-Dots

The night sky is full of stars, and some of them cluster together in to shapes. Did you know that the night sky changes throughout the year, and looks different from other areas of the world?

Art On the Scene

Everyone's an artist! No matter your age or talent, take a moment this summer to create something special. Check out our easels in the main lobby area, and make some art to leave here or take with you. Whatever you do, don’t forget to claim your Be Creative On the Scene badge online and fill out a ticket in the CYS Command Center near the Self Service Area for the chance to win a prize.

Listen to CPL librarian Tara Scott sing a variety of songs from the U.S.A., Italy, Germany and the British Isles on Saturday, August 8 at 3:00 pm. During her free time Tara sings soprano with the Plymouth Oratorio Society as both a choir member and soloist, and enjoys taking private voice lessons.
