Fairy Gardens

Join Fairy specialist Gayle Drews from Nature's Garden Center and construct your very own garden complete with your very own fairy! All supplies will be provided. Ages 12 & up. This program will take place outside weather permitting. Registration required.  Saturday August 1st, 10:30 am.

Lip Sync Battle

You've probably seen the epic lip sync battles on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Or maybe you've watched LL Cool J host the show on Spike TV. Now you can show off your own lip sync skills and find out who is the top performer in Canton as we host a CYS Lip Sync Battle here at the library. Thursday July 30 at 7:00 PM. Registration is required. Participants are required to email song selection to by July 24.

Finals Exam Cram

Do you need a place to study for finals? Come to the library to study or work with a group. We will have tables set up in a quiet room for all your studying needs.
  • June 8 — 4:00-8:45 PM in the Community Room (NHS tutors available 6:00-8:00 PM)

Pinterest Live Potluck Edition

Do you have a Pinterest Board overflowing with recipe ideas just waiting to be tried? Don’t wait for the next occasion, pick a recipe, prepare it and bring it to the CPL Pinterest Live Potluck. Share the recipe of choice with the Canton Public Library’s Pinterest Account and we will post on the board created especially for this event. Next, prepare your appetizer, beverage, dessert, casserole or other food item and bring it to the library on July 16 at 7:00 PM. Bring enough for 15 people to taste as well as a list of all ingredients.  Participants will spend time sampling the food and sharing the experience of bringing a Pinterest pin to life. Ages 12 & up. Registration required.

Raja Yoga Healing Meditation

Raja Yoga Meditation helps you reach a deeper understanding of yourself, your intrinsic positive qualities and your innate value. There is beauty in all of us and through meditation the inner beauty not only is revealed to the self, but also to the people around us. On Saturday, August 29 from 4:00-5:45PM, join practitioners from the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University to explore these universal concepts and encourage your inner spiritual development toward a fresh perspective on values such as justice, freedom, respect and love. Sessions will be interactive and experiential, where your tools for the inward journey will be explored and shared.

On Saturday, August 1 from 4:00-5:45PM, two visiting Raj Yogis, will be working as a team with the whole group. The presentation will  be in interactive format and  there will be videos to highlight and support the concept of self healing.

Everyone's an artist! No matter your age or talent, take a moment this summer to create something special. Check out our easels in the main lobby area, and make some art to leave here or take with you.
