HeroScape Gaming in January

Dungeons & Dragons Gaming Club in January

DiceRoll up some fun with kid-friendly Dungeons & Dragons Gaming.  This monthly program takes place the fourth Monday of every month. Have fun using your imagination while also working on building problem-solving skills, practicing mathematics and chart-reading, and learning new vocabulary. The next session is  January 25, 4:30-5:30 PM.  All playing materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own dice.  This program is suggested for ages 9-12.  No registration is required.

Hoopla Digital has always been compatible with Apple TV, and many simply connect their mobile devices to their television sets via HDMI. While these options are still available, they now offer an additional option: *Chromecast Compatibility!

Middle-School Coloring and Craft

Get creative at the library! Drop in and try a notebook doodle coloring book, color and decorate stickers, and do a craft. Ages 11-13. Tuesday, December 22, from 3:00-4:00PM. No registration required.

Easy Robotics: Brushbots

Monday, December 21, 7:00 - 8:00 PM. Make your own robot out of a toothbrush and motor, then build a track to race it on. For Tweens and Teens. Registration required.

Hoopla just got better! In addition to streaming movies, TV, music and audiobooks, you can now use your Canton Public Library card to check out eBooks and eComics! Just like everything else on hoopla, there is never a hold list for this great new content.

26th Annual Tail Wagger's Bowl

Love to bowl? Love to help animals? The 26th Annual Tail Wagger's Bowl fundraiser will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Woodland Lanes in Livonia. Tail Wagger's is a non-profit organization that provides affordable preventative and wellness clinic services for pets. They also accept donations and offers the area's only pet food assistance pantry. Please register by November 1 online or call Tail Wagger's (734-855-4077) to save your spot.  





International Games Day

Get your game on at International Game Day on Saturday, November 21, 1:00-5:00 PM.  We’ll have a variety of board and card games on hand for you to sample, or feel free to bring your own to share. All ages are welcome, and family participation is encouraged. No registration is required.  Just drop in anytime during program runtime and join in the fun!

Star Wars Origami

Sunday, November 22, 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Celebrate the new movie by making paper ships; then help us hang a few in the Children's Department to make a battle scene display! Tweens and Teens. No registration required.

NHS Tutoring Returns November 2nd

NHS students are here to provide 3rd-12th graders free homework help. If you're interested in getting tutored:
  • You must be in 3rd through 12th grade
  • If you're under 12, your parent must remain in the library
  • You must bring the assignment and any other needed materials

Days and Times

  • Monday from 6:00-8:00 PM by the Teen Desk
  • Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM by the Teen Desk
  • Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM by the Teen Desk

There will be no tutoring during breaks or school closures/snow days.
