Computer Classes

  • Current Canton Library cardholders 18 years and above are eligible to register for classes
  • Go to Program Calendar to sign up for classes. An online tutorial is available to help guide you through the process
  • Registration for class starts two weeks in advance of program date. Register online only
  • Have your Canton Library card number ready when you log on to the computer to register
  • You can use your Patron Record to review programs you are registered or waitlisted for and to cancel a registration. Please cancel registration at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a $5 fee
  • All classes are free to Canton Library cardholders

Holiday Greetings with MS Publisher 2013

Looking for an easy but affordable way to send out those holiday greetings? Learn how MS Publisher 2013 can help you make and print out personalized holiday cards and letters. We'll also talk about how you can use the Mail Merge function to print out personally addressed envelopes. Prerequisite: Some experience with MS Word and Excel. Join us in the I-Lab on Saturday, December 5 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Registration required.

Have you hit a snag with your ereader?  Patrons in need of one-on-one assistance can come in on Fridays from 10:00-11:00 AM to receive basic or extended help with borrowing or downloading books to your electronic device.  No registration required, just drop in!

If you or someone you know needs assistance with basic computer skills, including Internet use and setting up an email account, please stop in to CPL's Internet Lab between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 12 for our drop-in skills lab. We will have guided activities for practice with mouse skills, copying/pasting, and more.  A librarian will be on hand to answer any questions you may have or direct you to activities and tutorials to help build basic computer skills.

Word Processing with Google Drive

Learn basic word processing skills including creating and formatting text, printing and saving. Prerequisite: basic computer skills and Google/Gmail account recommended but not required. Join us Monday, November 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
